Amed area located at the east coast of Bali. This quiet area is very popular among divers and suitable for families with children as well, because the beaches here are surrounded by coral reefs and the ocean is calm. Almost all beaches of Amed are covered with quite clean volcanic black sand. You can find all kind of accommodation in the area from small hotels to private deluxe villas.

From this part of the island you can see the most picturesque sunsets with the view on the sacred volcano – gunung Agung (3144 meters). The most popular beach at the area is Jemeluk, located in the bay and have beautiful coral reef. Besides snorkeling, diving and relaxing, you can do underwater hunting.

The most famous among divers part of Amed is Tulamben Seraya Secrets beach. Just a few dozen meters from the shore, is a sunken transport ship «USS Liberty», which was torpedoed by Japanese submarine I-166 during the 2nd World War. After these facts, they tried to tow it to Singaraja, but because of damages ship capsized near Tulamben. The length of ship, overgrown with corals, is 120 meters.

In addition, you can see variety of corals at the nearby coral Tulamben Wall, disappearing into the depths, as well as The Coral Garden, located at a depth from 2 to 15 meters. In transparent waters of Tulamben you can see rare marine life such as manta rays, hammerhead fish, fish-needle, tuna, mimic octopus, fish – frog, angelfish and fish mola-mola, called the solar.
